One of the most iconic figures in the history of bodybuilding and action icons, Arnold Schwarzenegger, has always been a source of inspiration and awe for many people. His impressive physique and charismatic personality have made him a legend in his own right. However, the hunk has a story that dates before his entry into Hollywood. In a throwback photo tweeted by a fan on Twitter, we can glimpse at the early days of The Terminator when he was only eighteen years of age. 

A rare photo from Schwarzenegger’s youth shows him, at the age of 18, standing next to his roommate in a gym locker room. The hunk towers over his friend, displaying his muscular body and confident smile. His roommate, on the other hand, pales in comparison. Draped in a yellow towel, Schwarzenegger takes a massive command over the room with his presence. The photo highlights not only the physical difference between the two men but also the ambition and grit that one of them would go on to exhibit.

The now 75-year-old had a childhood dream of becoming a bodybuilder. The star had humble beginnings in a poor Austrian family. He started training at a local gym when he was 15 and soon won his first bodybuilding contest. At 18 years of age, his physique looks already daunting, as we can notice in the image. He soon moved to the US where he shot himself to instant recognition and fame by winning several titles, including Mr. Olympia.

When he entered Hollywood, Arnold Schwarzenegger made his powerful screen presence felt when he starred in his breakout role of Conan the Barbarian in 1984. Soon after, director James Cameron cast him in the iconic Terminator series which made him a global action and fitness icon.

However, the inspirational star has no plans of resting as of now. He is busy training himself and moving ahead to new ventures.

Schwarzenegger is a living source of inspiration for many fitness enthusiasts. Moreover, he is also looked upon by everyone as an icon who worked tirelessly to fulfill his dream. He also champions various philanthropy projects on various causes which he lends himself out. On his latest state of affairs, he made a massive comeback to Hollywood. He recently starred in two Netflix projects that went on to become smash hits.

Schwarzenegger is now looking forward to continuing acting with many projects lined up before him. After a successful first run, Netflix is now looking to produce another series of the documentary Arnold which would explore more of the legend’s personal life. On the bigger screen, he is looking to return with an action-thriller titled Breakout. “I’ll be back,” a famous line from the actor’s Terminator movie seems to perfectly sum up his life and work.
