Among the many superheroes in DC’s Black Adam was the winged wonder, Hawkman. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter from 2022, Aldis Hodge who played the character spoke of his experiences of working on the flick. Besides the fact that Aldis Dodge credited “DJ” or Dwayne Johnson for bringing The Witcher actor back to his Superman role, the two A-listers are known to support each other often. It is commonly known that Cavill was let go from DC by the studio’s new co-CEO James Gunn. Later, ‘The Rock’ cryptically credited Black Adam’s failure to Gunn. According to him, the new leadership created problems that eventually became the movie’s downfall.

In this way, the Central Intelligence actor defended the entire cast by shining light on where the real problem lay according to him. Meanwhile, the Enola Holmes actor once spoke of his admiration for Johnson in trying to imitate him. Regardless of the duo’s failure to make Black Adam as great a success as fans were hoping it to be, fans never blamed them for the movie’s underwhelming reach.
