When Meghan Markle and Prince Harry bid adieu to their royal royals across the pond, the reason they cited for this move was a need for normalcy away from the prying eyes of the media. While it is nearly impossible for them to achieve the latter by shaking off the paparazzi that follow them everywhere, the Sussexes have in a lot of ways achieved regularity in their daily routine. No longer at the disposal of the royal firm, they have now been comfortable at their new abode in Montecito, despite the recent controvery post Omid Scobie’s Endgame release. 

It is not only their casual attitudes, however, but also the Suits star’s evolving wardrobe that hints at this change towards normalcy. 

Meghan Markle switches up her glamorous style for athleisure

Although Markle is still known to splurge on some luxurious additions to her wardrobe, her new style is a far cry from her days of wearing exorbitantly-priced attires fit for a Duchess. This was evident in her latest appearance in Santa Barbara from earlier today. Now, What Meghan Wore on X (formelry Twitter) has detailed the casual fit she was sporting on the recent outing. Besides her black sporty ensemble, she was carrying on her accessories worth $700. 

The 43-year-old was seen walking around in beige New Balance sneakers that retail at $99. In comparison, the dark Bottega Veneta phone case she was flaunting cost a whopping $250. Meanwhile, the black eyewear by Krewe that she added to the ensemble goes for a much higher $350. So, it looks like the Duchess of Sussex may be keeping it casual, but not without some additional elements that make her fashion choices stand out even now. 

Speaking of simpler looks, last month too, she had donned a similar simple, yet elegant outfit for an outing with Prince Harry.

The relaxed ensembles the Duchess of Sussex is opting for

One of the most common elements in Meghan Markle’s style tends to be the chic pantsuits she is known to love. However, the majority of her recent informal appearances have showcased her in a more relaxed vibe. When she stepped out for a visit to a Marine Corps base in San Diego last month, her outfit of choice included a loosely fitted navy cardigan and minimalistic black trousers. 

While the Carolina Herrera sweater oozed simplicity, it was worth almost $1500. Earlier in their marriage, she was known to aim for much higher-priced brands and accessories. Lately, the mother of two seems to be opting for more practical fits that suit her new lifestyle away from royal duties better. Maybe the day is near when she tries her hand at shopping at Target like most do!
