Tom Holland is not currently the highest-grossing actor of 2026. The actor has nevertheless found himself at the center of an extraordinary box-office run, with two of his biggest films arriving in the same summer and putting him in remarkably rare company.
From his early breakthrough in The Impossible to becoming one of Hollywood's most bankable young stars, Holland's career has undergone a remarkable transformation in little more than a decade. Now, with two enormous productions carrying his name at the center of the summer box office, the numbers tell an especially interesting story about just how far the actor has come.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been the bigger monster of the two blockbusters Tom Holland has starred in this summer, opening with a record $360 million domestically and eventually pushing beyond $1.67 billion worldwide in less than two weeks. The film was reportedly made for a production budget in the $225 million range, while Holland is estimated to have earned between $15 million and $20 million for returning as Peter Parker.
The Odyssey, meanwhile, had an enormous reported production budget of around $250 million and has become one of the year's biggest theatrical successes, crossing $1.1 billion globally. Holland's reported payday for Christopher Nolan's epic has been around $10 million, although that figure, like his Brand New Day salary, has not been officially confirmed by the studio.

The numbers become even more interesting when placed against where Holland started. He made his feature-film debut as a young actor in 2012's The Impossible, long before Marvel turned him into a global star. His reported Spider-Man salary then climbed from around $500,000 for Homecoming, rising with bonuses, to roughly $10 million for No Way Home. Now, barely a decade after The Impossible, Holland is reportedly commanding eight-figure paydays while starring in two billion-dollar blockbusters in the same summer.
That is an extraordinary career trajectory, but Holland is not the only actor enjoying the rewards of this unusually star-studded summer.
Zendaya and Jon Bernthal are having a Billion-Dollar summer too
Zendaya has an even stronger claim to the 2026 box-office crown, appearing alongside Tom Holland in both The Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day, with Dune: Part Three still to come later this year. Current reports by multiple media outlets have already described her as 2026's highest-grossing actor, although the year is not over yet.
Jon Bernthal, meanwhile, has somehow managed to spend the same summer playing two very different characters in two of the year's biggest movies. He returns as Frank Castle, aka the Punisher, in Brand New Day while playing Menelaus in The Odyssey.

That gives all three actors an unusual connection to the year's biggest box-office stories. For Holland, it also caps a remarkable journey from his MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War to becoming the face of a $1.67 billion Spider-Man blockbuster, with The Odyssey adding another billion-dollar success to the latest chapter of his career. Holland may not technically hold the individual crown, but his two-film run alongside Zendaya and Bernthal has made this one of the most remarkable summers of their careers.
