Aarav Poonia is an Entertainment Writer at Netflix Junkie, covering films and series across Hollywood, and global cinema. With a Bachelor’s degree in Filmmaking, specializing in Direction and Screenplay Writing, he brings a strong understanding of storytelling and screen craft to his work. His experience includes writing film reviews, industry updates, and editorial features, alongside developing multiple short fiction screenplays. He is also a part of Spiral Bound, a screenwriting community led by Boman Irani, where he continues to refine his approach to narrative, character and technicalities of writing a screenplay. Alongside his writing, Aarav has directed, produced, edited, and acted in multiple short films, including No Man’s Land and Musical?!, earning recognition across international festivals. Musical?! was an Official Selection at the Student World Impact Film Festival (New Jersey, USA), while !!! was selected at the Kuala Lumpur International Film Awards and reached the Quarter Finals at The Hungry Minds Film Festival (Italy). His experimental film No Man’s Land was also showcased at the ONED Art/Experimental Film Festival in France.
