Back to the Time Meghan Markle Recieved Her First Ever Courtesy as Her Royal Highness
The former Suits actress, Meghan Markle, might have a hard time getting accustomed to the royal protocols. Nevertheless, she did it; and did it so flawlessly that Prince Harry called her The List. No sooner did she first learn her courtesy lessons from Aunt Ferguson, than the Duchess found herself at the receiving end of one. Soon after the Palace disclosed the revolutionary engagement in the United Kingdom, Markle rose to all fame and glory. Both for her individual commitments and being a groundbreaking force of change to the traditional good old Buckingham Palace.
Meanwhile, some could not resist but bow down before Her Royal Highness with the utmost respect and sincerity. As reported by People Magazine, Markle received her first-ever Royal courtesy months after she herself folded her knees before the Queen. However, the courtesy made much of an impact since the Duchess was not even officially included in the House of Windsors. “Before Meghan marries Prince Harry, it is not British protocol to curtsy to her,” Myka Meier, founder, and director of Beaumont Etiquette, told PEOPLE.

The reason was pretty obvious: she did not have an official royal title by then. However, even that left a significant mark on Markle’s popularity in the family. “That being said, a curtsy is simply a sign of respect,” the director continued. Before concluding, she believed that if someone curtsied to the Duchess before the wedding, that is a clear show of respect people harbored for her. However, it did not come all easy to the newest royal. It took place during her official outing in Wales on Thursday with her fiancé, Prince Harry. Markle received a curtsy from a woman as they entered the Cardiff Castle.
She once landed herself in a highly awkward situation involving the late Queen.

Meghan Markle: meeting with the Queen for the first time
In their nascent stages of courtship, the Prince wished to keep things as transparent as he could. Thus, he had Markle meet his grandmother for the first time inside the Palace premises. Although Markle thought it would be like meeting her boyfriend’s grandma, Prince Harry reminded her it was not as simple.
