Although no official reports have hinted at any latest addition to the cast, a new Instagram post uploaded by Weird Al Yankovic has sparked a frenzy among devoted Stranger Things fans. The American musician and comedian took to his handle to post a picture with Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler, and Gaten Matarazzo, who portrays fan favorite Dustin Henderson on the popular sci-fi show.

The caption to the post read a pun-intended remark stating, “Yesterday was bizarre but stranger things happening today”. The ensuing photo has led to speculations around the ‘Eat It’ singer guest-starring in the final season of the show. Although it could be nothing more than a casual meet-up among celebrities, chances of the cameo are rolling as strong as they can.

As far as cameos are concerned, this won't be Yankovic’s first, since with "Weird Al" Yankovic's previous appearance in The Goldbergs (2016), his willingness to participate in nostalgic nods, stands out. Moreover, the biggest hint of Dustin Henderson’s fondness for Yankovic's music in the show could already lay the groundwork for a memorable appearance.

Given the show's history of featuring bewildering concerts (who could forget Eddie's epic gig?), it is entirely plausible that Yankovic could appear in a similar context, perhaps even performing at a Hawkins High School event or a fictional concert in Hawkins, Indiana. With the pieces in place, fans are eagerly awaiting what promises to be an exciting crossover, following another major cameo update, in the final showdown.
