Netflix has got some unexplainable obsession with British royalty, and there is enough to substantiate the same. The streamer’s most sought-after royal series, The Crown has always topped the charts with its portrayal of the Elizabethan era of the royals. The same, however, has now passed onto its newest generation comprising the Waleses and the Sussexes. Season five of the franchise blew everyone’s mind. However, wait until you see Season 6 because the bar is just waiting to be raised.

The writer of the show, Peter Morgan, made it clear that “in order to do justice to the richness and complexity of the story, we should go back to the original place and do six seasons.” However, the dynamics that are to be touched upon had been a matter of concern for the team. The last and the final season, according to its latest updates, would have heavily focused on the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate Middleton according to the original plan.

Insiders have revealed to the outlet that Netflix bosses are planning to give The Crown a new direction. If at all it happens, the presence of the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, along with Britain’s second Prince becomes inevitable.
However, that was not the original plan.
