Starting with the recent controversy around the search for a new private secretary for the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton.

The recent stir about the resignation of a royal aide has put the royal family in trouble, yet again. There have been some new appointments in the Palace’s administration. As reported by Telegraph, the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, had hired an eminent PR guru as her new private secretary. The expert, named Alison Corfield, however, has created a stir in the royal rota by turning down the offer. 

She was and is still working with Chef Jamie Oliver for the last eight years. Nonetheless, due to her eminent role in the administration, the Queen-in-waiting for the throne had initiated the process of getting her as her new private secretary. Middleton was closely associated with Oliver’s team.

Sources revealed Corfield “loves the work and is an integral member of the campaigning.” However, she never wanted to come into the limelight. Even after being fully dedicated to the Palace and its ways, “she just wanted to keep her head down and get on with the job she knows so well in the background.” 

Why did the royal aide turn down the job for Kate Middleton?

The mother of three, who was offered the high-level job of being at the Princess’ beck and call, never wanted the publicity that comes with such a job. Nevertheless, given the ongoing controversies surrounding the royals, the decision of the aide becomes only natural. 

Speaking of the vacant post, Kensington Palace’s hunt for the most suitable expert is still on the go. The post is quite critical to the administration since it will play a vital role in shaping the Princess of Wales as the next Queen of the Kingdom. Moreover, Corfield was described as “an unusual fit,” compared to the traditional way of hiring more modernizers and people with private-sector experience for such posts.
