Harry and Meghan were never honored by the bell rings unlike Kate Middleton

The age-old custom of the Royal Family was last heard for a complete 96 minutes upon the sad demise of Queen Elizabeth II. The special honor at present is only reserved for the four core royals of the hierarchy. They are the monarch, King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate Middleton. Many of us might think the tribute is limited to just the four as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have left the Palace. However, the truth is way far from it.

However, you would be surprised to know that the bell rings never rang for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Nevertheless, sources do claim that the honor has been narrowed for a specific reason. The covid guidelines and financial crisis that has crippled the United Kingdom for the past few months. The same have put some restrictions on the Church as well. The unavoidable circumstances took a toll on the Imperial Family. Prior to it, the bells also used to chime for other members of The Firm on their birthdays.

The directory included Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Camilla, Princess Anne, Prince Edward, Prince William, and Kate. The Wales children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis enjoy the privilege.  The bells also sounded every year for Prince Philip prior to his death. Alas, Harry and Meghan were never on the list.
