Netflix survives off screening rights but thrives with its original content offerings to fans. While the American streamer rides on the coattails of thriller blockbusters such as Stranger Things, the original movies drive home Netflix’s tendency to produce high-octane action films with global appeal. The streaming giant has revolutionized the action film genre with its adrenaline-fueled movies focused on diverse storytelling and innovative filmmaking. With franchises like Red Notice and, The Old Guard and Kate, Netflix has successfully created a niche for itself, garnering immense popularity and critical acclaim.

Currently, it is building up on it. Pushing boundaries further, Netflix continues to raise the bar with one of its most successful movie franchises ever that stars a MCU actor as the lead.

First released in the year 2020, the action thriller became the most-watched Netflix original in the history of the streamer, garnering over 99 million viewers within the first four weeks. With the first movie fetching the biggest numbers, the second installment did not hold back in cementing the franchise as one of Netflix's best works. With its debut last year in the month of June, Extraction 2 outdid its predecessor with the most hours viewed making its way as the 10th most-watched original movie of the streamer.

With expectations going sky high, Extraction 3 should only come as an over-the-top extraordinary action-packed threequell at a level never breached before. However, at this moment, no further timeline of the next installment has been revealed so far. By revealing details about Extraction 3 being in active talks, the Russo brothers indeed have given many reasons for fans to be psyched.
