Spider-Man: Brand New Day is set to make its streaming debut this year in December, just months after its theatrical release. And Netflix will become the streaming home for the movie as part of the streaming giant’s deal with Sony. Earlier in January this year, Netflix secured the first U.S. pay-TV streaming rights to Sony Pictures’ theatrical movies.

Now, the movie, which made billions at the box office, is expected to set a record as Netflix’s most-streamed non-original movie ever, as reported by Complex. The movie, starring Tom Holland, is one of the biggest films of the year, as the highest-grossing film of 2026. As expected from its early hype, the movie earned more than a billion at the box office and also became the highest-grossing Spider-Man film.

The film already received its digital release on October 6, 2026. The movie is available to buy or rent through Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango, and Sony Pictures Core. So, those who missed out on the action in theaters will be able to watch it from home.

Now, the digital release of the movie also has a special surprise for fans.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has a new deleted scene

Spider-Man: Brand New Day has arrived on digital platforms, and there is a special surprise for viewers. It features a deleted scene that could not make it into the final cut. The scene takes place in the hospital, where medics remove the mask from Peter Parker’s face, and Tom Holland can be seen gasping for air.

The clip quickly became very popular across social media. After the theatrical release, many wondered how Peter managed to keep his identity hidden during his visit to the hospital. It seems that his identity had been revealed after he was rushed in for surgery.

But, as seen in the movie, the hospital staff did not reveal his identity to the people. So, it is certainly worth a rewatch for those who have already experienced it in theaters. Meanwhile, the movie could once again set a record!
