The latest trailer for Enola Holmes 3, which stars Millie Bobby Brown as the adored lead, has been released by Netflix. The tale of Sherlock Holmes’ equally gifted younger sister has found millions and millions of takers over the years, and thus the franchise keeps on dishing out newer and bigger adventures with each release. This time, the stakes are exponentially high, as this time Enola’s quest entails finding her brother, the great Sherlock Holmes. 

The new trailer reveals many new mysteries and personal struggles, among many other things that will be the center stage of all the chaos in the third installment.

Enola Holmes 3 trailer begins with Enola, wearing a wedding gown, battling for her life inside a chariot as a masked criminal on horseback pursues her over rough terrain. As Enola describes how the chaos started, the scene is cut short. We witness Enola's pleasant home life with Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge) in flashbacks, which are followed by his proposal of marriage. 

The whole Holmes family travels to the Mediterranean island of Malta for the wedding because it is customary for them to do so. Enola's contradictory feelings are also highlighted in the trailer; she loves Tewkesbury but worries about losing both her name and the professional reputation she worked so hard to establish. In the present, it is revealed that Watson (Himesh Patel), who has hurried to Malta to inform Enola that Sherlock has been abducted, is the disguised pursuer trailing the chariot.

The new trailer gives a lot to fuel the hype around Enola Holmes 3, which is set to release on July 1, 2026. When we last saw Enola, she had recently started her own detective business, but she was sadly finding it difficult to be taken seriously because everyone either thought she was too young, too female, or simply wanted her big brother. The upcoming installment indicates a big flourish in Enola’s character arc and most probably her career.

Millie Bobby Brown plays Enola Holmes, Louis Partridge plays Tewkesbury, Himesh Patel plays Dr. John Watson, who made his screen debut in a post-credits scene in the previous film, Sharon Duncan-Brewster plays Moriarty, Henry Cavill plays Sherlock Holmes, and Helena Bonham Carter plays Eudoria Holmes.

Philip Barantini, the Emmy-winning director of Adolescence, is directing Enola Holmes 3, his first film in the series. Based on Nancy Springer's Enola Holmes Mysteries book series, the movie is written by Jack Thorne, who previously penned Enola Holmes and Enola Holmes 2. The trailer has made the wait for the film more excruciating, promising a thrilling journey ahead.
