In a slew of interviews, the American sensation and entrepreneur revealed that there was not just a single issue that made her take such a drastic step. “It was not one specific thing that happened on either part,” stated Kim in Keeping Up With The Kardashians Reunion last year. Likewise, in an interview with Vogue, she affirmed that she had kept herself engaged in keeping other people happy rather than herself. Hence now, she wanted “to make herself happy”, claimed Kim.

She further confessed that this step from her front led the already devastated couple to the brink of collapse. Even if that created changes and caused them to split, Kim decided to stand her ground. She further added, saying, “I think it’s important, to be honest with yourself.” In a long-term, exhausting battle of putting people’s needs first, Kim has finally decided to choose herself. “I think it’s okay to choose you,” she said, putting an end to the matter.
