Kate Middleton and Prince William were involved together for more than a decade before tying the knot at Westminster Abbey in 2011. Middleton epitomizes what an ideal Princess is to the future King of the British throne. Although she too has had her fair share of boundaries. As reported by The Daily Express, the Princess of Wales had turned down her beloved’s invitation to the Royal Family for a reason we can all relate to.
Kate Middleton once did not attend the house party with the Queen
Prince William had once issued a coveted invitation to his then-girlfriend, Catherine to attend the Royal Christmas celebration with Queen Elizabeth, back in 2006. The invitation was to a house party with family at Sandringham even before the Prince graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. However, Kate Middleton turned down the invitation stating that she could not attend a family function without being a part of it.

The then 24-year-old alleged that without having the engagement ring on her fingers, it is impossible for her to attend the house party. She instead preferred to celebrate the occasion with her parents at the time. The Prince respected her decision for the said occasion. The same was brought to our notice by a Royal Biography on Wales called ‘The Palace Papers’ by Tina Brown. Years later the two took their wedding vows before the entire Kingdom and pledged to stay together through the thick and thin of life. Ever since Catherine eventually won the trust of the Palace for various important duties.
