Come what may, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did settle for their happily ever after. And one of the main benefactors of being able to manifest the same was their strong confidants and consistent supporters who have been standing tall with them since the beginning. Starting from their youngest’s Godfather, Tyler Perry to other bigwigs of the entertainment industry like Cardi B everyone has welcomed them with open arms. 

To add to the list, we have Prince Harry’s Olympian friend, Usain Bolt who was also all praises for him and his wife, Meghan Markle. The military prince and the Olympics champion’s friendship dates back to the time Prince Harry went on the Caribbean tour for the first time. As amusing as Bolt was with the Duke, he also found the former American actress pretty decent for his friend. 

Back in 2017, Meghan Markle was introduced as the Olympic Champion for the first time by the Duke. As Vanity Fair suggests, they met in person when she accompanied the Duke to a mutual friend’s marriage in the Caribbean. Bolt told the reporters that he really had a great time hanging out with the royal couple.

“Harry’s really cool. He’s a really nice guy.” He also added how they see each other frequently because they both travel around quite often. Speaking of Meghan, he expressed that “She’s definitely a nice girl.” Although he had not come to terms with her as much, Usain Bolt still had a feeling that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle make a great couple. 

What did Usain Bolt think of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle?

Like the rest of the world, even Prince Harry’s athlete friend could not hold back from gushing about how he and his then-fiance go along so well. He also affirmed before the reporters that he thinks, “everyone is so happy because he’s always the wild one of the royal family.” And given Meghan Markle’s bold personality as an individual, it was no doubt they were getting engaged. 

Bolt in fact regretted the fact that he did not get to spend much time with the Duke. “I’m sorry I didn’t get to party with him before,” he said as he was in New York for a Kentucky Derby Party around the same time.
