In the last couple of decades, Netflix has risen to the spot of the largest mogul in the OTT industry. After churning out massively hit series like <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/stranger-things/">Stranger Things</a> and <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/bridgerton/">Bridgerton</a>, the streaming giant capitalized on their success through pop-up merchandise stores and experiential events. Additionally, it has also dabbled in the culinary space by launching some show-themed restaurants. With an ever-increasing audience base and &#8216;Originals&#8217; library, it is clearly ready to take its presence in the physical world one step further.
Now it seems that Netflix is going the Disney way with its new plans to build theme park-like locations. 
<h2>What is the streaming giant building now?</h2>
In <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-10-12/netflix-to-open-stores-where-fans-can-play-shop-and-eat-in-2025?leadSource=uverify%20wall" target="_blank" rel="noopener">an interview with Bloomberg, Josh Simon,</a> who serves as the vice president of Netflix’s consumer products department, revealed this latest development. According to him, the OTT mogul plans on opening multiple spaces that will be called a Netflix House. As the name suggests, these will entail a variety of experiences designed around the essence of their many shows. This includes shopping, food, and experiences like The Queen&#8217;s Ball which was based on the picturesque Bridgerton sets.

Through experiences like these and <a href="https://www.netflixjunkie.com/netflix-news-literal-sweet-surprises-await-stranger-things-fans-before-season-5-release-feast-on/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">themed food like the Stranger Things ice cream it relaunched</a> last month, it has tested the waters for the demand of spaces such as these. After realizing that “fans love” their shows and all that comes with them, Simon said that they wanted to take it to “the next level”. Besides this, it could also possibly feature an “obstacle course” based on the popular <a href="https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/squid-game/">Squid Game</a> series!

While Josh Simon has only presented the idea of Netflix Houses, audiances are already curious about the what, where, and hows of these interactive spaces.
<h2>The opening date and locations of Netflix House</h2>
Based on what Simon has confirmed, these spaces are projected to be completed by 2025. Initially, Netflix plans on opening them in only a couple of cities in the US as a test. Later, it may expand internationally as it did with its pop-up stores across the globe. Especially because of their increasing hold over online viewers, these locations, if built well, are bound to become an immediate hit.

Recently, it also announced the sale of Stranger Things memorabilia from the set of the thriller series.
