1. Ladies First

Premiering on May 22, one of the week’s biggest conversation starters may easily be Ladies First. The movie will star Sacha Baron Cohen as Damien Sachs, a powerful advertising executive who suddenly wakes up in a world where women hold all the power. Opposite Rosamund Pike’s Alex Fox, the show flips workplace dynamics on their head through satire, gender politics, and culture-clash comedy.

For viewers who enjoy socially sharp humor with a playful edge, this 93-minute-long investment may be an easy first pick.

2. Mating Season

Mating Season comes from the creators of Big Mouth, which is about an adult animated comedy that dives headfirst into relationships, intimacy, and emotional chaos — except this time through the animal kingdom. With 10 episodes lined up, the animated show is up as of May 22. With Nick Kroll, June Diane Raphael and Zach Woods lending their voices, the series appears ready to lean heavily into raunchy humor while still poking fun at modern romance.

3. Untold UK: Vinnie Jones

Sports documentaries continue thriving on streaming, and Untold UK: Vinnie Jones could be one of the more fascinating additions this month. Chronicling Jones’ rise from football’s notorious hard man to FA Cup winner. Fashioned as the documentary show's third part, a teaser of the episode was dropped on May 22 as well.

The documentary also promises a deeper look at setbacks, reinvention, and one of British football’s most unforgettable personalities.

But if comedy and sports are not your thing, Netflix’s lineup this week also includes a returning relationship drama, an offbeat animated series and a gripping true-crime story.

4. My 2 Cents

Comging in straight from the acclaimed cartoonist Zerocalcare My 2 Cents is an italian adult animated comedy. Releasing on May 28, My 2 Cents follows Zero and Wild Boar as they struggle to keep their small bar afloat while personal misunderstandings and financial problems pile up.

Things become even more complicated when someone from the past unexpectedly returns, setting up what looks like a quirky, emotionally messy ride.

5. The Four Seasons Season 2

Returning on May 28, The Four Seasons brings Tina Fey, Will Forte, Colman Domingo, and the rest of the longtime friend group back together for another round of seasonal reunions. With a Steve Carell-shaped hole in the lineup since Nick's drive off, the audience can only wait so much to see what form of devastation might descend on the friend group this time.

Moreover, this time around, the show leans further into grief, reinvention and the emotional complexity of middle age.

6. The Witness

Premiering on June 4, The Witness may end up being one of Netflix’s most talked-about true-crime releases in the coming weeks. The three-part drama revisits the devastating 1992 murder of Rachel Nickell on Wimbledon Common, where the victim’s two-year-old son became the only witness to the horrific crime. Releasing alongside a companion documentary, the series looks set to tackle one of the UK’s most haunting real-life cases.
