“We won”- Fans in Delight as Taylor Swift’s 'The Tortured Poets Department' Landed Its First Lead Song, Ahead of the Album Drop

It will not be much longer until Swifties get to relish their much-awaited album of the era. Taylor Swift's 11th studio album, 'The Tortured Poets Department', releases in 24 hours and the excitement has been sky-high ever since. While the list of songs had been revealed days ago, fans hardly had any other update on the songstress’ upcoming album. Nonetheless, the 14-time Grammy winner has been keeping her fans well-fed with sufficient updates to stay at the hype. And now, a new update is here, adding more to the anticipation.

Fans have finally got hold of the first lead song from 'The Tortured Poets Department' before it drops. As reported by Pop Crave on X a few hours ago, swifties, 'Fortnight' is now officially the first lead song from the upcoming album, featuring the 'Rockstar' singer, Post Malone. The song has already been added to Apple Music’s biggest playlist. It is thus only a matter of a few hours until it lands on the United States radio shortly after the album drop. The track is the first of Swift’s never-ending list of 16 golden songs.

Beginning with the Malone feature, her latest 2024 takeover ends with 'Clara Bow', as the 16th track. For the unversed, that is the age when teenage Swift stepped into the industry with her first release, 'Tim McGraw'. However, that is not all. Following the 16 bangers, Swift also has a bonus track for her fans called 'The Manuscript'. With all these renditions waiting to be bombarded at fans in one go, it is only natural for fans to turn social media platforms upside down.

With 'Fortnight' as the lead single, X has been flooded with hot updates for Taylor Swift's 2024 release.

Swift has undoubtedly taken great care of fan emotions by keeping them contented with regular updates. Although sufficient details of everything related to the album have been sent out to the public, no singles or videos have been released so far. Swifties, therefore, have their excitement hit the ceiling. While one exclaimed that fandom has “won," another awaits for Swift to show Hasbeyn "how to get a number 1 hit with Post Malone on the song"

To top it all, an X user also went ahead to make an album cover for the duo, taking inspirations from the original theme.

While fans are overjoyed with the Post Malone collaboration, he is not the only musician to feature on the album. Apart from the hip-hop megastar, Swift also managed to rope in Rock Titan Florence Welch to grace her album. Moreover, she has her all-time favorite, Jack Antoff, leading the songwriters' squad accompanied by Aaron Dessner.
