Born on April 3, 2000, Ella Bleu Travolta grew up between California, Florida and Maine as the daughter of two major Hollywood stars, John Travolta and Kelly Preston. She is also the younger sister of the late brother Jett Travolta and the older sister of Benjamin Travolta. Despite growing up in the public eye, Ella gradually began carving out an identity separate from her family’s legacy.

Ella stepped into the acting world quite early, making her acting debut in Old Dogs (2009) at just 9 years old, starring alongside her father and Robin Williams, before later reuniting with John in the 2019 thriller The Poison Rose. Ella Bleu Travolta joined her father at Cannes because she stars alongside him in Propeller One-Way Night Coach, John Travolta’s deeply personal directorial debut adapted from his 1997 children’s book of the same name. The aviation-inspired family adventure follows a young boy and his mother on a journey to Hollywood, with Ella playing one of the flight attendants they encounter along the way. The film is scheduled to begin streaming globally on Apple TV on May 29.

The project appears especially personal for the Travolta family. John has described the story as deeply inspired by childhood memories and his lifelong love of aviation, while Cannes itself became an emotional occasion after the actor received a surprise honorary Palme d’Or and described the recognition as “beyond the Oscar.” Ella stood beside him throughout the celebration, turning the festival appearance into a meaningful father-daughter moment as well.
