The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has been making her moves in silence. Ever since last year’s bombshell Netflix docuseries, the Hollywood Princess has been laying low. Nevertheless, there is no hindrance to the flow of work. Markle has been continuing her winning streak despite the controversial whirlwind that has grappled with her husband. She also attended the Women of Vision Award in New York a few days ago. Nonetheless, it quickly escalated to end up as another major controversy registered with the Sussexes. However, she also had another major event coming in. Unfortunately, it went as a total no-show. 

The revolutionary Spotify podcast of the Duchess Archetypes brought the Sussexes tremendous success and prosperity. Having won the Best Podcast of the Year at People’s Choice Award, Markle won the best host for the twelve-episode podcast as well. Following the same, the Duchess was honored with the Gracie Awards in Beverly Hill. Nonetheless, as her long-time associate had already disclosed, Markle did not show up for the event. Various publications took their wild shots for the possible reasons behind the same.

Many royal spectators, as fed by relentless speculations, firmly believed the Duchess did not show up because of the near-catastrophic car chase that dawned on her at the previous award show. Others commented she was deemed unworthy of it in the first place. However, that was not the case. Hello! Magazine has rather learned the real reason behind her stirring decision. As reported by the outlet, Markle held back from the event as she had to run some errands on private work obligations.

Meghan Markle won back-to-back honors at Gracies

The Sussexes’ Archewell Foundation announced Markle’s victory months ago in March 2023. The Duchess had already sealed the Best Podcast Host for Archetypes. In a recent event that took place in Los Angeles, the podcast bagged another accolade to its name. Presented by the Alliance of Women In Media and Foundation, Archetypes won the Digital Media National Winner at The Gracies. 

Although the Duchess did not turn up for the event, she left a heartfelt gratitude note after her win. “Thank you to the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation for this prestigious honor,” wrote the Duchess. She further called it a “shared success” for her and the team behind Archetypes. On the go, she also thanked the inspiring guests who joined her throughout the ‘breaking the stereotype’ journey.
