Theo James has not changed his mind about refusing to take on the role of James Bond. While it remains unclear whether he was ever officially offered the chance to play the iconic spy, the actor has made his preference clear. This comes after Daniel Craig, who portrayed James Bond in the previous five films, stepped down from the role.

“What actor wouldn’t love to be Bond? But at 42, I’d probably be considered a bit old to start now,” Cavill said.

Interestingly, Cavill had also auditioned for the role of James Bond and even made it to the final stage of casting for Casino Royale. However, the role eventually went to Daniel Craig. Now, Cavill seems more interested in playing a villain in the Bond franchise, provided the character is interesting enough.
