Gal Gadot seems to have made peace with missing out on Tom Cruise’s famous cake tradition. The Top Gun: Maverick actor shares some of the most wholesome bonds with the people he works with, and he often strengthens those relationships by sending them a little surprise on special occasions. He is known for sending cakes to actors and other people he has worked with over the years.

From Tom Hanks to Tramell Tillman, several of his Hollywood friends have received the special treat. However, Gadot, who worked alongside Cruise, seemingly missed out on the tradition. Still, the actress sent Cruise a heartwarming message.

During her interview on the Armchair Expert podcast, Gal Gadot was asked by host Dax Shepard whether she had ever received Tom Cruise’s famous cake. The actor is known for sending the White Chocolate Coconut Bundt Cake from Doan’s Bakery in Woodland Hills, California, to his Hollywood friends and co-stars. While Gadot seemed confused by the tradition and revealed that she had not received the cake, she took it in good spirits and shared a comforting message for her former co-star.

“Well, I worked with him for one night,” she said. “Tom, it’s fine. It’s okay. I can take it.”

She further added, “I don’t like cakes. It’s fine. I like chocolates.”

The actress might be right, as the two worked together on the 2010 movie Knight and Day for a very brief scene. However, Gadot revealed that Cruise was kind to her on set, asking questions about her family and culture. While Gadot may have missed out on his famous cake tradition, she added that Cruise remembered her after all those years. When they met again, he even remembered her and asked about her grandfather.

That explains why Cruise always sends special gifts to his co-stars. He has even sent shoes to a co-star he worked with more than two decades ago, showing that he does not easily forget the people he has shared the screen with.

Tom Cruise sends shoes to Dakota Fanning

Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning starred together as father and daughter in Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds (2005). Since then, the actor has continued to send her gifts, mostly shoes, as Fanning has often mentioned in interviews. Now, Cruise might always be actively involved in choosing the gifts he sends to the people in his life, or at least that's what he likes to believe.

“According to Tom, he is involved. So, he's involved. So, I don't know. I don't know the specifics. I don't ask,” she said on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast.

Fanning once recalled that Cruise even sent her a cell phone when she was 11 years old, which she thought was “cool.” So, it is no surprise that Cruise shares such a great relationship with his former co-stars. He has also been kind and generous. As seen with Gadot, she may not have received one of his famous cakes, but she was still happy to have worked with the legendary actor and spoke warmly about their time together.
