Speaking with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, she recalled being told the opposite of an exit plan. "No, they told me the opposite. They were like, 'We're going to develop it with you, the third...'" said Gadot.

She then added, "But I saw the way everybody else [was] handled, right?" The Henry [Cavill] situation was not handled elegantly to say the least. Patty [Jenkins] was not handled elegantly. We’re all adults and we’re all good,” emphasizing that actions ultimately spoke louder than promises made behind closed doors.

Missing from the conversation until now was the timeline of when this reassurance actually took place, something Gadot addressed candidly on Happy Sad Confused. She explained that despite being told plans were moving forward, she independently watched how colleagues around her were treated during the transition. "I am so grateful I got the opportunity to wear these boots and have the character be so celebrated. I can only wish whoever is next comes pure to this journey. This character means so much to so many of us. It was never mine. I was always just a vessel. This is Hollywood, ” Gadot said.
