A mysterious phone call takes a dangerous turn in the upcoming film The Runner. Being one of London’s top lawyers may seem like a secure position, but everything comes crashing down when a call from a mysterious person sets off a desperate search for a loved one and a chain of sinister actions, all while the clock is running out. The tension in the movie is further elevated by its talented cast.

So, before the countdown begins for The Runner, here is a look at the stars who will bring these characters to life.

Gal Gadot as Maia: Gal Gadot is an Israeli actress, model, and producer who is best known for her role as Wonder Woman in the DC Extended Universe. The actress has starred in several action thrillers, such as the Fast & Furious franchise, as well as DC Extended Universe films such as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Damian Lewis as The Caller: Damian Lewis has previously appeared in Pressure, Dreamcatcher, and more. He also appeared as Steve McQueen in Once Upon a Time...in Hollywood. His role in the movie The Runner is not yet known. 

Alfred Enoch as Ted: Alfred Enoch is well known for playing the role of Dean Thomas in the Harry Potter films. Over the years, he starred in How to Get Away with Murder and Troy: Fall of a City. He also played the leading role of 'Jamie McCain' in the BBC drama Trust Me series.

Rory Wilmot as Noah: Rory Wilmot will play Maia’s son in the movie. He has previously starred in FBI: International and Unchosen. He will also star as Neville Longbottom in HBO’s Harry Potter series.

As the star-studded cast of the film is revealed, fans are looking forward to the plot of the movie. The premise of the film might remind people of the 1995 movie Die Hard 3.

It is not known whether The Runner is similar to Die Hard 3. However, both films begin with a mysterious phone call that forces their protagonists to do things they would never consider. The Runner follows Maia, an elite lawyer in London, whose seemingly perfect life takes a terrifying turn when she receives a phone call informing her that her son has been kidnapped. The caller gives Maia a series of instructions that she must follow to save her son.

Meanwhile, Die Hard 3 also revolves around a mysterious caller who forces John McClane into a dangerous series of tasks, but the two stories take very different paths. Unlike The Runner, Die Hard 3 does not feature the character of Maia’s son. So, while they appear similar, both films could be very different based on the ending. So, with much at stake and a mother’s desperate race against time, there is plenty to expect from the upcoming film.
