Sydney Sweeney as Cassie in Euphoria made the show all the more iconic. Now the actress reveals why this character is her number one choice.

Sydney Sweeney Preferred Playing Cassie in ‘Euphoria’ Over Her Golden Globe Winning Show

HBO’s Euphoria is like a kaleidoscope of emotions made all the more vivid with
the presence of Sydney Sweeney
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/sydney-sweeney/]. Through her expressive
eyes, Sweeney unravels the mysteries of teenage life as her fans watch in awe.
From relationship complexities to substance abuse in youth, the show has touched
upon some rather tricky topics. And the 25-year-old’s portrayal of Cassie is
almost as magical as that of a unicorn, enchanting audiences through the
character’s whimsical charm and fabulous wardrobe.

Following the age-old tale of struggling through Hollywood for recognition, the
role marked a breakthrough for Sweeney. Yet, that is not the reason why she has
loved playing Cassie more than another character she took on for an HBO show.

SWEENEY PREFERS A CHALLENGING ROLE OVER A SNARKY ONE

In a YouTube interview with Variety, Sweeney played a game of This or That,
which entails choosing one thing over the other. When asked if she preferred
playing Cassie over her role of Olivia in The White Lotus, she seemed hesitant
to answer at first, saying that she loves all her characters. But on second
thought, she chose Cassie saying that being an “emotionally crazy deep
character”, it was much more challenging than the more “fun and snarky” Olivia.

Already enraged due to the delays caused by the SAG-AFTRA strike

Euphoria fans will surely become all the more impatient for Season 3 after
seeing her love and dedication for Cassie. For the Americana star, what pushes
her as an actress is emotionally going to places that she may never have gone to
before. Citing Cassie to be a “lot of fun to play,” she made her preference
known.

Much like her chosen character’s fashion choices, the Euphoria sensation is a
fan of all things retro. Because another preference that she spoke about during
the interview proves the same.

WHICH CAR DOES SYDNEY SWEENEY PICK?

As a believer in breaking through gender barriers
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/hollywood-news-women-can-do-anything-sydney-sweeney-has-an-empowering-message-for-those-that-want-to-break-barriers/],
Sweeney went viral on TikTok for journaling her Ford Bronco restoration project,
proving that the male-dominated world of mechanics has plenty of room for women.
So when she was asked whether she would choose a 2023 Ford Bronco over her
vintage one, the actress chose the vintage that she poured her sweat and blood
into.

Calling the pickup truck her “dream car“, she mentioned how she has both
versions of the truck. But her restored vintage is the one she deems
“beautiful.” Seems like the actress enjoys a challenge in her acting career as
well as her mechanical endeavors.
