Sydney Sweeney recently threw a seemingly tame 26th birthday party in Los Angeles when compared to these lavish soirees from Hollywood.

Sydney Sweeney’s 80s’ Prom-Themed Birthday Party Is Iconic, but Not as Crazy as These 5 Celebrities

To celebrate her birthday with all the pomp and show she deserves, Sydney
Sweeney
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/sydney-sweeney/?utm_source=website&utm_medium=internal_links&utm_campaign=hashtags]
threw a grand party in Los Angeles last weekend. At her 26th bash, she chose to
go with a nostalgic prom night theme. This was perfect considering that it was
her teen drama series Euphoria that launched the actress to such super-stardom.
As various celebrities pulled up to welcome her birthday with her, the night was
lit up by the star-studded events’ glitz. However, lavish parties are not a rare
occurrence among the A-list folks of Tinseltown.

In the world of the wealthy and famous, a birthday tends to be as luxurious an
affair as a Hollywood red carpet. Sometimes, the event’s scale goes beyond
imagination like it did with these stars.

KYLIE JENNER THROWS A DREAM-LIKE SWEET SIXTEEN

In 2013, Kylie Jenner’s 16th birthday was straight out of a fiction novel. Not
only because the theme of the party was Alice in Wonderland but also because of
the unreal amount of megastars present at it. Obviously, her reality
stars-filled family, including Kim Kardashian
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/kim-kardashian/], were present. Meanwhile,
renowned hip-hop artists Drake and Big Sean both performed for her.

Another rap star, Tyga was among those that attended. Besides them, she was
joined by a crowd of 200 which included Will Smith
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/will-smith/]’s children, Jaden Smith and
Willow Smith [https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/willow-smith/]. Evidently, the
Kylie Cosmetics founder’s 16th was a night to remember.

EMOTIONS RUN HIGH AT NINA DOBREV’S 27TH

Vampire Diaries fame Nina Dobrev got creative with the theme of her 27th
birthday in 2016. Since the theme was Emojis, the event was full of a range of
emotions walking around on two legs. Many people dressed up as their favorite
emoticons of 2016. Whereas, Dobrev who once got the taste of Henry Cavill’s
iconic red carpet sophistication,
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/netflix-news-henry-cavill-gentlemanly-sophistication-on-the-red-carpet-over-the-years/] became
the kitten with red heart eyes.

Hilariously, the most popular ones were the poop emojis. Among the people that
showed up was the Disney actor and singer, Nick Jonas. Meanwhile, the comedians
Adam Devine and Seth McFarlane were probably feeling right at home during the
prank-like affair.

Just like the Canadian actress, Mariah Carey had thrown a costume party the
previous year. Somehow, her theme was even quirkier.

MARIAH CAREY ASKS PEOPLE TO DRESS UP LIKE HER

In 2015, the now 53-year-old Mariah Carey came up with a rather flattering theme
for her birthday. The ‘Butterfly’ singer wanted everybody to look like a diva.
So, she asked her guests to come dressed as different variations of herself!

Since 2015 was the same year she had parted ways with Nick Cannon, maybe the
5-time Grammy winner wanted to just celebrate herself amidst the heartbreak.
Either way, a few dozen people attended and complied with her wishes too.

TAYLOR SWIFT ATTENDS KATY PERRY’S WILLY WONKA-THEMED 25TH

In Katy Perry’s music videos, candy references and backdrops full of dessert
tend to be a common occurrence. For her 25th birthday, the American Idol judge
wanted her theme to reflect her love for candy. What better way to achieve that
feat than a Willy Wonka theme complete with chocolate fountains, and giant candy
all around for your birthday? And Taylor Swift
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/taylor-swift/] was among those who graced it!

Besides the music industry mogul, the party that sounds like a 5-year-old’s
dream birthday was attended by many other celebrities. Celebrity journalist
Perez Hilton also tweeted about the chocolate-filled affair later.

ROBERT PATTINSON SHARES A LOVE FOR RETRO WITH SYDNEY SWEENEY

When one talks about a grand Hollywood party, images of the grand soirees shown
in The Great Gatsby movie come to mind. Well, Robert Pattinson once went The
Great Gatsby way by throwing a 1920s-style bash for his friend Nick Jarecki.
Like Sydney Sweeney’s recent prom-style outfit, many guests at the Twilight
actor’s party also donned vintage suits and dresses.

The 2013 event boasted of attendance from various other celebrities including
Warren Beaty. Also representing the most stylish of the music industry were
Dianne Warren and Todd Michael Schultz, who shared numerous updates about the
party on X, formerly known as Twitter.
