Spider-Man: Brand New Day has now crossed the $2.4 billion mark in global ticket sales. Ever since its release, the fourth installment of the MCU’s Spider-Man franchise has smashed box-office records left, right, and center. Apart from becoming the second highest-grossing movie in Marvel’s roster, it has also now become the third highest-grossing movie of all time. This is a feat that the film achieves without a big ensemble or any legendary director attached to it.
This comes on the heels of sheer excellence in storytelling and visual spectacle, which is rewarded by a big box office milestone like this one.

After an incredible run that has already made it one of the largest theatrical releases of the year, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has now surpassed $2.4 billion at the global box office this weekend. Few movies are able to endure for more than a month after their premiere, but Sony and Marvel's most recent Spidey adventure consistently finds fresh ways to go against the grain.
Brand New Day had made $899.8 million domestically and $2.34 billion worldwide as of its 35th day in cinemas on September 5, bringing the $2.4 billion mark well within reach. A $22 million domestic take on Labor Day helped propel the summer season toward a possible all-time record of $4.76 billion. The movie's Labor Day success alone made a substantial contribution to that total.

With a record-breaking $360 million in North America and an astounding $932 million worldwide on its first weekend, the movie's box office supremacy was immediately apparent. In just six days, it crossed $1 billion worldwide. Because of its rapid pace, it became the second-fastest movie ever to achieve $2 billion, doing it in just 17 days as opposed to 11 days for Avengers: Endgame.
As mentioned earlier, Brand New Day is going about its theatrical journey setting records after record.
The movie joins the prestigious $900 million domestic box office club
Only Star Wars: The Force Awakens has made over $900 million domestically, and Spider-Man: Brand New Day has done so more quickly than any other movie. There is serious conjecture as to whether the movie may someday compete with The Force Awakens for the all-time domestic title, with estimates indicating it could eventually earn between $950 million and $1.02 billion domestically.

The movie is currently the eighth-biggest international release ever, which is an incredible accomplishment for a fourth installment in an ongoing franchise rather than a brand-new blockbuster. Compared to other superhero sequels, which often have higher drop-offs after their opening frames, its steady weekend-over-weekend hold has remained exceptionally robust.
