The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, rose to enormous fame and glory as her Netflix legal drama show reached heights in between 2011-2017. The California native, who was earlier known for mere roles such as a suitcase carrier and a bartender, was suddenly setting the bar high for USA Network legal shows. However, that was not just a piece of cake for the now Duchess. Before reaching the pinnacle, she had to go through a lot of obstacles, both personal and professional, along the way. Nonetheless, she got past all of it to establish a successful acting career in Hollywood. And it was quite surprising for her as well. 

While the world believed in her skills, Meghan Markle herself did not ever expect she would make it. Speaking to Variety last year, Meghan Markle gave us a brief description of her life in Hollywood. According to her experiences, life on the screen was not as easy as we thought it to be. Along with the fame, aspiring actresses had to endure a lot of struggles and discomfort on the way. The worse was, they could not help but just deal with it. 

In fact, there were times Markle even doubted her career in acting. Opening up to the outlet, Markle revealed she had tried much longer to land on a show. While filming all her pilots, she had second thoughts about getting re-elected. While Markle was just getting started she thought, “All of Season 1 on ‘Suits,’ I was convinced I was going to get recast.” It happened to her so often that it reached a point where it worried her teammates. The creator was like, as Markle recalled, “Why are you so worried about this?‘”

Nonetheless, getting up to the top of the bars did tense Markle a lot. And she took it the right way. With her consistent efforts, Suits came to be known as the signpost show of her entire career.

While it is a common misconception that Markle rose to fame after acquiring the Duchess title, the reality is far away from it. Before attaining the royal position, Markle had established herself as an eminent TV actress with her Suits still running for the US networks. 

However, unfortunately, she retired from the show after getting engaged to the Prince of Britain, Duke Harry. Since it was against the royal protocols to have an actress as a royal member, Meghan Markle washed her hands of her actively evolving career.
