Hollywood's fascination with star kids has reached a fever pitch, with fans obsessing over their every move and Jaden Smith is leading the charge. Soon after the Smith siblings played it cool with edgy outfits at the Met Gala 2024, fans and paparazzi alike have been in relentless pursuit of the star kids. As casual as it sounds, the extreme media attention has evidently posed a growing concern to the young stars, especially Will Smith's 25-year-old rapper son. 

The Pursuit of Happyness star has now gone public with his requests for a break from the media industry and paparazzi. 

In a recent video as posted by Buzzing Pop on X, Smith was recorded asking the paparazzi to leave him alone. “Go find someone more famous!” said Jaden Smith, pressing upon the recorder’s camera. While the shooter kept him engaged in a conversation, the star kid kept on insisting that all he was trying to do was skate around the city. “Stop it, stop it,” he exclaimed, further adding how he saw other A-lists that are deserving of much light and fame. 

Recalling the Gala night, he directed the paps to follow up with Doja Cat, who wore a wet dress for the night. “I saw so many people inside, go find them. like Doja Cat, go get her,” he added. With the recorder asking him to enlist some more examples from the star-studded night, Jaden Smith tried warding off the group of camera persons away from him.

Although fans in the comment section found it funny, the relentless media pursuit had actually turned physical before for the ‘Still in Love’ singer. 

In a shocking turn of events, Jaden Smith's triumphant night at the Met Gala was marred by a humiliating fall off his skateboard. Sources close to the incident point to the relentless pursuit of paparazzi as the primary cause. Following the event, the star was out on his skateboard, riding around the city with his security guards, jogging with him. Nonetheless, the photographers managed to swarm the star which ultimately led to his tumble.\ 

This is not the first time Jaden Smith hit back at negative media attention. The Will Smith family is no stranger to media scrutiny, however, it still does not justify the relentless pursuit of paparazzi. Although their celebrity status does invite media spotlight, the family has always made clear how they seek privacy and respect like anyone else in the industry.
