While many at the Invictus Games got the privilege to come face-to-face with the Duke, others could only reminisce about their meeting with Prince Harry. Since the last few months, the Duke has attended a myriad of events, starting from the Sentebale charities to WellChild Awards, up until the Invictus Games. Each of them underscored Prince Harry’s eager practice of humanitarian charities. Additionally, Prince Harry also attracted some new fans, mesmerizing them by the way he is. 

Scared at first, a comedian’s opinion of the Duke soon changed when she met him in real life.

The Duke stunned the comedian, Katherine Ryan

Comedian Katherine Ryan, as reported by the Independent, has opened up on her first meeting with Hollywood royalty. Ryan came across the Duke during his UK session at this year’s WellChild Awards show. Recalling her experience on her exclusive podcast, Telling Everybody Everything, she claimed how at first it was concerning on her part to meet the Duke. 

She had earlier made jokes about Prince Harry, his wife, Meghan Markle, and the royal family, and thus was a bit nervous. However, when the Duke came under the same roof as hers, his personality turned quite amiable to her. “Oh, you’re the one who tells jokes about me” was Prince Harry’s first ever reaction when he saw Ryan. This undoubtedly left the comedian in some sweaty shame, but the Duke’s confident and comforting personality helped her once again. 

Not only did the Duke make Ryan feel at ease, but he also encouraged her to continue telling jokes.

As soon as Katherine Ryan apologized to the Duke, she was even more startled to hear what she heard next. “I was like: ‘Yeah, it was me, sorry about that,’” said Ryan. Prince Harry meanwhile, appreciated her approach to his family Jokes instead of scoffing at Ryan. While Ryan explained those were not at his expense, the Duke agreed, saying, “No, they weren’t, so keep telling the jokes“. 

Singing all praises, the comedian lastly said how the Duke’s presence was “striking” as it happened. Seeing the royal for the first time, Katherine Ryan expressed how Prince Harry in the flesh is exactly like he is in the pictures. “He’s in HD,” said the comedian. She was still amazed at how the Duke looked just the same as he looked in the pictures.
