While Prince William, 41, Kate Middleton with the glistening rock, Prince Harry reportedly also wanted the ring for his future spouse

“Selfless and kind”- Prince Harry Sacrificed Princess Diana’s Sapphire Ring to Prince William, Claims Ex Royal Servant

The royal family came into existence and brought along with it a lifelong
controversy between the heir and the spare. While many have kept a tight lead
considering the family’s reputation, many miserably failed to make peace with
the rising differences between the siblings. Prince Harry
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/prince-harry/] and Prince William have been
the burning instance of the same. The beautiful bond they once took pride in now
lies in the ruins of the abyss, and Prince Harry labeled their broken ties as
arch-nemesis. However, there have been instances where even the Duke has carved
in silently.

The tug of rings for their better halves has been one such. Although it almost
never got the title of a controversy, people saw what had just happened.

PRINCE HARRY GAVE UP HIS MOTHER’S MOST PRECIOUS TREASURE TO HIS BROTHER

Back in 2010, when Kate Middleton and the Prince of Wales united in wedlock,
Prince William gifted his wife Kate Middleton with the 12-carat stunner
surrounded by 14 diamonds. Being the Queen-in-waiting to the throne, Princess
Kate enjoyed the privilege of having the iconic Princess Diana engagement ring.
Straight from one Princess of Wales to another, the ring still shines brightly
to this day on Middleton’s finger.

Little did anyone notice that Princess Diana had another son too, although
tagged the Spare his all life. Spilling the beans, a former staff, Paul Burrel
at the palace, stated how the Duke handled the situation. “Harry gave up his
precious treasure, his one thing he kept from his mother, he gave to his
brother,” he said in an Amazon Documentary.

“That’s selfless, kind, and exactly who Diana was,” the ex-royal household
servant further added.

Although the weights vary and so does the significance, the Duchess of Sussex,
Meghan Markle, did retain what was rightfully hers.

WHAT DID MEGHAN MARKLE GET FROM PRINCESS DIANA’S JEWELRY BOX?

After the iconic sapphire, what made more noise with Princess Diana was her
impressive aquamarine ring. Also termed as the Freedom Ring, the $90K piece
sparkled on the former Princess’ finger right after she got out of the grotesque
misalliance with King Charles.

Prince Harry gifted Meghan Markle [https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/meghan-markle]
the shimmering piece of exquisite jewelry right on the day they tied their
spring nuptials. Leaving Westminster Abbey, the then newlyweds of 2018 headed
for their wedding reception. While Markle waved at the frenzied crowd, the blue
stone sat sparkling on her fingers. The same recently dazzled on the Duchess’
finger as she received the prestigious Ripple of Hope Awards in December. Adding
to it, she also inherited the Cartier tennis bracelet from her late
mother-in-law.
