The Prince of Wales, Prince William, has got multiple tasks that need his undivided attention. Following the coronation ceremony earlier this month, the heir to the throne is now getting his hand on the next big event of the year. Although the Earth Shot Award Ceremony is nowhere near, Prince William knows he ought to make the preparations beforehand to keep the winning streak on the go. Owing to the same, he made his way to last year’s award-winning product that worked wonders. 

As reported by People Magazine, the Prince is once again having high hopes for his last year’s winner, Notpla. For those who are unversed, the product is a sustainable packaging startup pioneered by Prince William. The same product won the Build a Waste-free World Category at the Earth Shot Environment award in December last year. Since then, the product launch has been working well in terms of business for Wales, as the future King has made it his prime priority.

Earlier today, the Prince, 40, visited the Notpla centers in Hackney Wick in London. The heir visited in order to analyze how the Earth Shot recognition has helped the blooming startup get its pace in the industry. To be more precise, the product is basically a plant-based alternative to the usage of plastic as it has started to pose an environmental threat in the form of landfills and ocean waste. 

The Prince then went on an in-depth analysis of the product’s reach in the market. 

Prince William can hardly stay still for the Earth Shot Award 2023 

Serving the noble cause, the Prince has his interests vested in the startup company. Learning more about the reach, Prince William toured the headquarters with co-founders Rodrigo Garcia Gonzalez and Pierre Paslier. He further checked out Notpla’s product portfolio and it was achieved to this day. Having crossed a remarkable milestone, Notpla has replaced nearly 3 million units of single-use plastics as of now. 

As reported earlier, Prince William is immensely excited about this year’s Earth Shot Awards. The organization’s CEO in a statement revealed that the Prince could hardly “stay still” with the ongoing preparations for the forthcoming award show.
