Prince William’s Ceremonial Uniform Now Has a Priceless Addition
The crowning ceremony of King Charles saw, for the first time in a while, an exorbitant royal celebration. More often than not, the outfits of the members of the royal family are discussed to take notes or gape at their high price. However, Kate Middleton and Prince William made headlines as they wore proudly their royal robes during the crowning ceremony. As Middleton’s dress becomes a subject of mystery, the Prince of Wales is not one to lag behind as fans noticed a new accessory on his ceremonial uniform.
The Prince of Wales dawned his ceremonial dress of the Welsh guards at the coronation. And being a believer in repeating outfits much like his wife, he dawned the same uniform at the investiture ceremony as well. However, this time around fans caught onto an eye-catching addition to his uniform.
Prince William adds another honor to his ceremonial uniform

That Prince William is the more obedient sibling is clear as Prince Harry remained sidelined from the Coronation festivities. For his diligent support, he was appointed as personal aide-de-camp to the late Queen in 2013. And looks like he earned the honor from King Charles as well, as fans noticed an extra cypher adoring his shoulder strap. It seems like the royal family has repeated history by making Prince William the aide-de-camp of the monarch in secret once again.
Unlike many other royal titles that come with their perks, becoming the aide-de-camp does not have any monetary benefits. This honor is bestowed to encourage Prince William’s involvement during his father’s reign.
It is highly likely that the cypher shining in gold was added to his uniform before the coronation. But fans were unable to see it and the numerous medals he has earned owing to the robe.

How many medals does the Prince of Wales have?
As he honored Beth Mead and Lucy Bronze, and Jason Knauf, who called Meghan Markle a bully, among others, fans were in awe of the badges that decorated his shoulder strap.

His Order of Garter sash is often decorated with a medal from The Queen’s Diamond and Golden Jubilee. Apart from those bestowed by his grandmother, Prince William also wears Royal Air Force wings. The star for the Order of Thistle and now two aiguillettes decorate his ceremonial uniform.
