As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle continue striving forward in their life, their stained past with their UK Sovereigns continues to hold them back. Their rivalry with the Prince and Princess of Wales has been at an all-time high and situations with father King Charles are not too good either. In light of the same, skipping important events at Buckingham is no new deal. The Palace mourns in great sorrow as the one-year anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s Death soon approaches. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, however, have not been considered worthy enough to be included in the same.

The last time any Sussex royal graced the Palace was Prince Harry, who showed up for a couple of hours for King Charles’ coronation, just for the sake of it. Duchess Meghan Markle, however, has not stepped into the royal premises for a year and over now.

The Sun recently reported that Buckingham has not invited the estranged royals to attend the poignant event. The strained ties have appeared prominently since the snub comes in the light of the Sussexes already being in Europe during the same time. An anonymous source has revealed to the outlet that, “There hasn’t been any outreach to them (the Sussexes)“.

According to earlier reports, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be out on a Germany tour next month for the closing ceremony of the Invictus Games at Düsseldorf. However, despite being in the same continent, the families are not going to come face to face as tensions continue to deepen the cracks further.

As reported by the outlet, the present Monarch, King Charles, and Queen Camilla will commemorate the anniversary on September 8th. The event will not be held at Buckingham, but will instead be shifted to Balmoral at the Scottish highlands. This is to pay heartfelt tributes to Queen Elizabeth II, as this was where he breathed her last.

Among the senior royals, Prince Andrew and his former wife Sarah Ferguson are also counted on to attend the ceremonial mourning. The King and the Queen will reportedly kick-start their three-week holiday at the former Queen’s favorite on August 21st.
