Following Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent trip to Nigeria, royal experts have found new grounds for scrutiny. Although the Duke and Duchess are accustomed to constant surveillance, their Nigeria visit has intensified controversies, bringing even their son, Prince Archie, into the spotlight. The public revelation of Prince Archie’s birth certificate has further complicated matters, particularly concerning some changes in Prince Harry’s royal designation.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s infamously quitting their roles as working royals is common knowledge to the world. But what is not that commonplace for fans is the missing piece of designation as ‘Prince’ behind the Duke’s name on Prince Archie’s birth certificate that they just noticed. The certification enlists him as His Royal Highness Henry Charles Albert David Duke of Sussex.

The birth certificates of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children’s certificates, however, carry the title missing from Prince Harry’s name. In their certificates, Prince William is identified as His Royal Highness Prince William Arthur Phillip Louis Duke of Cambridge. The reason for the change before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as working royals remains classified, raising the question of whether the omission was accidental, instinctive, or deliberate.

Recently, royal photographer Arthur Edwards harshly criticized Meghan Markle and Prince Harry for allegedly misleading the media to avoid having Prince Archie’s pictures taken during The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show. He pointed out discrepancies in the timings they announced and criticized Markle for planning a home birth but ultimately giving birth in a hospital. Prince Archie's birth certificate confirms he was born at Portland Hospital on May 6, 2019.

Previously, Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie's Finding Freedom reported that despite Markle’s wishes to give birth at Frogmore Cottage with an all-female midwife team, unforeseen circumstances necessitated a hospital birth. A source informed Page Six that these last-minute changes were made based on the doctor's discretion, not to mislead royal experts. While the birth certificate confirms the hospital birth, this evidence may help counter the harsh remarks, suggesting that not everything is “stage-managed”, as this also puts into question the issue of the missing royal title.
