From the Queen's signature hats to Kate Middleton's stunning gowns, each look is a masterclass in elegance and diplomacy. And then there is Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, who has brought a fresh dose of American glamour to the royal wardrobe. Her fashion choices, like those of her in-laws, are scrutinized by millions worldwide, as they represent not just personal style but also the face of the British monarchy on the global stage.

Often known for her minimalistic fashion sense, Meghan Markle donned a pretty simple Caroline Herrera dress which was not new to the public eye. Celebrity PR expert Brenda Christensen highlighted to the Mirror how she has worn it previously at “meaningful family milestones”. Markle notably celebrated Prince Archie's first birthday and announced her pregnancy with Princess Lillibet in the same dress. “It's a celebration of motherhood,” remarked the expert.

Further diving deeper into the spiritualistic importance of the dress, the PR expert claimed that Markle's color shines bright as yellow represents happiness and joy. In connection with the country she was in, Christensen iterated how yellow holds all the more importance to Nigerians. “Yellow is reserved for those of high rank due to his resemblance to gold,” said the expert on Markle's dress.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the yellow Caroline Herrera silk gown costs a staggering $3990 apart from her other accessories. Upon arrival, the Duchess received a traditional Nigerian shawl from the Governor's wife that she carried elegantly on her gown, that dates back to the fall 2019 RTW collection. Adding to it, she wore her all-time favorite Aquazzura ‘So Nude’ sandal pumps worth $750.

Her visit to the State Governor's House with Prince Harry also witnessed Markle wearing a sparkling pair of Jennifer Meyer large hammered disc gold earrings that cost a whopping $3250. Carrying it simple yet elegant, she wore some of her staple pieces of jewelry previously spotted on the Duchess. All of them combined amounted to another fortune that the Duchess carried on her last day in Nigeria.
