Nielsen Streaming Top 10: 'Suits' starring Meghan Markle Leads With 2 Billion Minutes Watched After Netflix Debut

Meghan Markle Starrer ‘Suits’ Dominates the Top 10 US TV Shows Stacking Viewership Record in Billions

It has been ages since the Duchess of Sussex bid goodbye to her skyrocketing
profession as an American actress. Keeping aside all her other works, Meghan
Markle [https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/meghan-markle] garnered tremendous stardom
through her USA network TV show, Suits. First aired in 2011, the paralegal show
ranked as one of the most-watched legal shows in the history of the network
series. A decade after its release, the show is once again climbing the bars of
American charts as Netflix gave it a boost, bringing it back for the ravenous
audience.

The American streaming giant added all nine seasons of the legal thriller to its
library on the 17th of June 2023. Ever since the Suits licensing for the Netflix
US market has been working wonders. From the time of its launch, the popular
legal drama has been ranking among the top 10 most-watched shows on Netflix.

SUITS STARRING MEGHAN MARKLE IS ALREADY A CHARTBUSTER IN THE US MARKET

A recent study by TVline shows,
[https://tvline.com/ratings/the-bear-nielsen-streaming-chart-secret-invasion-week-june-19-1235016814/]
the first season of the franchise alone has partially amassed a total screen
time of 2.3 billion minutes. It has thus outnumbered all the other shows on the
Streamer on Nielsen’s list. According to reports, ranking next to Suits, the
sci-fi thriller Black Mirror [https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/black-mirror/]
garnered a total of 1.6 billion minutes viewed.

Following it was The Bear, the recently released comic drama which pulled up a
total of 853 million minutes across 18 episodes. Other shows and franchises like
Manifest, FUBAR, Never Have I Ever, and Catching Killers cracked the total
screen time charts for Netflix.

WHY IS SUITS RANKING SO MUCH?

The latest search results by Netflix Tudum show Suits season 4 too, is rising as
a popular demand amongst the Netflix junkies. Another famous legal show that is
doing well for the American streamer is Lincoln Lawyer. In the era of sci-fi
thrillers and adventures, it seems like real-life legal dramas are serving as
appetizers for the viewers.

The writers’ strike in the US,
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/netflix-news-how-will-the-tv-writers-strike-affect-your-favorite-netflix-shows-will-they-be-delayed-for-a-long-time/]
put a halt to the shooting of many new and recurring TV shows, web series, and
movies. Thus Netflix is focussing on acquisitions and licensing. And the revival
of Suits, especially, has been working wonders for the team as they revealed.
