However, with royal fans thrilled with the Sussex's accomplishments, criticism and controversies were bound to follow suit. With King Charles denying to spare his son, a few hours of his schedule, royal experts have put the Duchess of Sussex up at the eye of the royal storm.

As the Duke and the Duchess prepare for their Nigerian trip post-Prince Harry’s grand success in the UK, Meghan Markle finds herself at the center of the controversies, yet again.

Speaking to Talk TV, famous royal critic Kinsey Schofield commented on how Meghan Markle’s involvement in the royal family has brought it upside down.The tears in the relationship began when Meghan Markle joined the family,” she claimed, taking a direct swipe at the Duchess of Sussex. She continued further on how she has distanced the Prince from his beloved family, with a “false confidence” 

Schofield branded the Duchess as “gasoline on fire” claiming she is not all saint if questions are being raised on King Charles for him snubbing Prince Harry. Bringing back the infamous Thomas Markle controversy, the royal expert equalized the family feuds, reminding how Markle has also refrained from any sort of connection with her father.

While royal experts take their aim on the couple left and right, the Sussex royals move forward with their much-anticipated Nigerian trip. Earlier today, PEOPLE magazine revealed the details of the proposed trip as the royal couple is set to embark on their first international trip post-renunciation. The duo is to kick-start their West African visit on Friday, May 10th.

The couple might have lost their imperial status, but their image as the people's royals has not withered down. Shortly after a school visit, Nigeria’s highest-ranking military official will welcome the invited couple for a warm welcome. As events and engagements line up for the Prince and his wife, the couple looks forward to making this tour a big success in the face of naysayers.
