Jennifer Lawrence is returning to the romantic-comedy genre, with the Oscar winner set to star in and produce Apple TV's upcoming film One Month Mark. Romantic comedies have enjoyed a steady resurgence in recent years, with audiences continuing to embrace fresh takes on modern relationships. When a major star steps back into the genre, it tends to attract attention far beyond the usual rom-com crowd.
While Lawrence's involvement is enough to put the project on many viewers' radars, the film's central premise may be what ultimately sets it apart. The project also continues a growing creative partnership that has become increasingly significant for Apple.

Apple's upcoming romantic comedy is based on a spec script from writer, director and performer Sophie Fleur de Bruijn. The film revolves around a simple but intriguing premise that immediately distinguishes it from more traditional relationship stories.
According to the official logline, the story follows two people whose romantic histories couldn't be more different: "She has never made it past a month in a relationship. He has never gone longer than a month without one."
The screenplay generated considerable interest before ultimately landing at Apple Original Films, with reports describing the project as a competitive acquisition. Jennifer Lawrence is attached not only as the film's lead but also as a producer through her Excellent Cadaver banner alongside producing partner Justine Ciarrocchi.
A director has yet to be announced, but Apple's decision to move forward with the project highlights the confidence surrounding both the concept and the team involved.
Yet One Month Mark is notable for more than just its premise, as it marks another collaboration between Lawrence and the streamer.
The film continues Jennifer Lawrence's growing relationship with Apple
One Month Mark becomes Jennifer Lawrence's fourth project with Apple. The actor previously starred in and produced the drama Causeway and also served as a producer on the Peabody Award-winning documentary Bread & Roses. She recently wrapped production on What Happens at Night, Martin Scorsese's upcoming film that also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, further strengthening her ties with the company.
