True-crime and cult documentaries continue dominating streaming platform charts, and The Cult of NatureBoy has quickly emerged as one of the latest projects generating online curiosity for its disturbing real-life story centered around social media influencer Eligio Bishop, also known as “NatureBoy.”

The four-part documentary explores how Bishop allegedly used social media to recruit followers into a group called Carbon Nation, promising them a spiritual utopia before the movement reportedly spiraled into manipulation, coercion, and allegations of abuse.

With the series now attracting growing attention online, many viewers have specifically been wondering whether The Cult of NatureBoy is available to stream on Netflix or another major platform.

Does Netflix have The Cult of NatureBoy on its streaming catalogue?

No, The Cult of NatureBoy is currently not streaming on Netflix. The documentary officially premiered on April 28 and is available on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the United States. Internationally, the series is also expected to release through Disney+ across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa beginning July 15.

The documentary was produced by ABC News Studios alongside ZANDLAND and focuses on the rise of Eligio Bishop and the Carbon Nation group. Some confusion online also appears to stem from Netflix already hosting another documentary titled Nature Boy: Ric Flair, though that project is completely unrelated and focuses on the legendary WWE wrestler.

The four-part series uses extensive footage captured by Carbon Nation members themselves, giving viewers an unusually immersive look into how the group operated online and in real life. Director Ben Zand described it as “one of the most extraordinary cult stories of our time,” particularly because much of it unfolded publicly on social media.

Director Ben Zand explained that the case stood out because it reflected how modern cults can now evolve openly on social media rather than in isolated compounds. “Social media has made a new type of cult,” Zand said while discussing the project, adding that much of the group’s behavior resembled “a reality TV show” because members constantly documented their lives online.
