Stepping foot into a massive comic-book movie debut is supposed to be a glamorous milestone for any rising young star in Hollywood. Between the joy of finally getting a break and the excitement of joining a multi-billion-dollar cinematic empire, it is an experience meant to feel like a dream. Yet, sometimes the same excitement can lead an actor to commit too much to the role, even if it is a tiny part. This excessive dedication became the very reason for slight discomfort for Jenna Ortega after the filming of her first-ever film role.

Jenna Ortega recently confessed to the surprisingly punishing physical aftermath of her Iron Man 3 debut.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly alongside Klara and the Sun filmmaker Taika Waititi, Wednesday star Jenna Ortega shared a funny behind-the-scenes mishap from her time playing a character who uses a wheelchair. Eager to stay in the zone and fully prepared for the crew at a moment's notice, Ortega chose to stay tucked into the chair between takes, keeping her leg pinned underneath her out of sheer enthusiasm.

“I didn’t want to move because, again, I was so happy to be an actor and to be a character that I just kinda stayed in the wheelchair all day,” Ortega said.

By the time shooting wrapped, the consequences caught up with her. With her limb completely deadened from the prolonged pressure, she found herself hobbling toward her vehicle and nearly taking a spill as she stood up.

“And when I went home, I was limping to the car,” the actress shared.

I almost fell on my face getting out of the wheelchair,” she added further.

Anyhow, ever since her small Marvel role, fans have been manifesting the young star’s comeback to the MCU.

Fans wishing a major Marvel return for Jenna Ortega

The blink-and-you-will-miss-it cameo as the vice president's daughter in 2013's Iron Man 3 - a tiny, non-speaking part where she is on screen for a single split second might be a fond memory for Jenna Ortega, but fans of the actor do not seem satisfied with this quiet Marvel appearance. While fans have spent years crossing their fingers for her to make a proper, full-fledged return to the superhero giant (with plenty of internet rumors once tying her to characters like White Tiger), that big Marvel comeback has not happened quite yet.

Instead, she is charting a completely different path. Leaving her usual spooky horror roles behind, she steps into a deeply emotional sci-fi world as an artificial companion looking for a place to belong in Klara and the Sun. Led by director Taika Waititi and featuring a stellar cast that includes Amy Adams, the film marks a refreshing, beautiful change of pace for the star.
