Tom Holland has already figured out how he wants to pass on the Spider-Man baton to the next generation of web-slinger. Till now, there have been four installments of the MCU’s Spider-Man franchise featuring Tom Holland (the most by any Spider-Man actor yet). The actor has already turned 30 years old, and it has now become an obvious point of discourse as to how many more Spider-Man movies he has in him. While there are no reports of his retirement from the role yet, there have been whispers of Tom Holland passing the baton to a younger Spider-Man.
Now, in a recent interview, the actor has revealed that he has a clear plan as to how he wants to pass the torch.

With his insistence that he will play the part for as long as Marvel and Sony want him, Tom Holland appears to have a bright future in the franchise. And based on box office projections for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, that may be a long time. However, Marvel CEO Kevin Feige has also begun discussing Miles Morales, indicating that significant changes to the MCU's Spider-verse are undoubtedly imminent. Interestingly, Holland has also confirmed plans for a future Spider-Man replacement on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast.
“There’s a whole plan that we’ve been working on since we finished Spider-Man: No Way Home. It’s laid out, but it’s going to change, for sure,” Holland said.
“I have a really clear vision for the passing on of the baton,” the actor added.

While speaking further, he told Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that he really gets excited talking about this in meetings and chats with the makers. It is simply because he wants to do the best he can to set up this character for the upcoming chapter of the MCU’s Spider-Man franchise. Holland has been hinting at Miles Morales’ future in the MCU for a couple of months now during the promotions of Brand New Day, and Kevin Feige has recently dubbed him the destiny of the MCU’s Spider-Man franchise.
Therefore, it appears that the plan for a new Spider-Man is indeed laid out by Marvel, and it is only a matter of when and how now.
Regarding the matter of how, there have been rumors of an interesting new development for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, which might set up Miles Morales’ induction into the MCU.
Tom Holland’s speculated future in the MCU
Rumor has it that Tom Holland has committed to another Spider-Man trilogy. If those are true, it would not be shocking to see Miles Morales as a brand-new Spider-Man at the conclusion of this trilogy. Although it does not really fit with the kind of tale Holland is hinting at, it is feasible that we will get something similar to the current comics, where Miles and Peter both act simultaneously under the Spider-Man alias.

In the end, he wants to hand off the reins and leave when he thinks it is appropriate. That is probably for the best because Miles has been mostly let down by contemporary comics; he is now overshadowed by Peter and hardly has a chance to shine. More about the future will most likely be released after the release and theatrical run of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
