The anticipation for Deadpool 3 has reached cosmic levels as fans eagerly await the return of the Merc with a Mouth alongside Wolverine. Despite some SAG-AFTRA-induced delays, the upcoming project is set to be one of the biggest to come in 2024.

While fans are buzzing like a hive, the film’s crew is busy as bees completing the project. However, some factors may get in the way of it being another Marvel masterpiece.

For Deadpool 3, Shawn Levy made a daring choice to shoot the movie at physical locations like London. Instead of a green screen, the director wanted the filming to carry authentic elements. However, this choice ended up backfiring on him. Almost every other day, images and clips from behind the scenes surface online. One of the most devastating leaks even glimpsed a fight scene between the two superheroes headlining the flick!

Besides the fight scene, an image of a colossal 20th Century Fox logo also appeared on X (previously Twitter). This, in turn, led Shawn Levy to disclose the inclusion of certain elements of the studio and its significance towards its cast. As delightful as this news was for fans, it meant that they now knew of another thing that would take center stage in Deadpool 3

Not only scenes but various rumors regarding surprise cameos have surfaced too.

The revelations regarding enthralling cameos

One thing that the MCU is famous for is the interconnectedness between its many superhero characters. Since Deadpool’s rights ended up in Disney’s hands after last year’s merger with 20th Century Fox, the comic-inspired flick could finally introduce other big names of Marvel. Well, there has been no shortage of the rumored cameos the flick might unveil. Besides Hugh Jackman, new possible characters through Taylor Swift and Daniel Radcliffe have also been theorized.

Additionally, speculations of features by characters like Spider-Man, Loki, and Elektra have also entered the mix. Some X-Men antagonists like Sabertooth and Toad were also previously believed to appear in Deadpool 3. Regardless of whether they do or not, audiences will certainly not be as surprised as they would have been if these possible cameos were not leaked!

It can be said that not only cameo leaks, but certain interviews are equally responsible for taking away the surprise factor.

The interviews that feel like a tell-all

Ever since the movie was announced, Deadpool 3’s cast and directors have come forward with updates about it through various YouTube interviews. While these efforts are crucial to market the movie and generate hype for its release, certain intrusive questions have led to unintended confirmation of what were supposed to be hidden facts. For example, when Shawn Levy spoke to Josh Horowitz last month, he all but hinted at the appearance of Taylor Swift in it.

To land an exciting scoop, the media and journalists are continuing to push the crew to reveal sensitive information. Besides Taylor Swift’s rumored title of the Dazzler, the interview even disclosed the enchanting dynamic between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s characters. Fans who appreciate the existence of easter eggs in their comic book movies would certainly agree that such revelations should have been held back.

If not through interviews, the internet manages to do the same through incessant speculations.

The unstoppable barrage of rumors about Deadpool 3

Besides these major factors that make up the movie’s foundation, minor elements of Deadpool 3 have also not been spared. When it comes to the Merc With a Mouth and Wolverine’s costumes, plenty of information has already surfaced. While Wolverine’s appearance in true-to-comic costumes was already revealed through images, even the addition of his extravagant mask has been hinted at.

Although this update is not yet confirmed, the re-work on Deadpool’s costume has received in-depth detail. Meanwhile, all the information regarding cameos and sets has caused fans to begin imagining the plot too. With so many details already revealed, it has become easy for Marvel fanatics to speculate how the third installment of Deadpool might play out!

All this was bound to affect the mood of fans that have closely followed the movie’s ongoings.

With so many inside details out in the open, Deadpool 3 is shaping up to be a culmination of rumors. If these rumors end up not being true, it may cause audiences to feel disappointed. On the other hand, if the hints do end up manifesting, they will still not hold the same charm as the makers would like them too. After all, no one will get to experience the joy of getting caught off-guard by these intricacies.

For instance, in Spider Man: No Way Home, one of the things that made the experience of watching the film unforgettable was Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s cameos. When the previous Spider-Men appeared in the Tom Holland-led flick through a cohesive timeline, fans could not hold in the excitement as theaters all over the world erupted in cheers. However, it might be impossible to pull off the same with Deadpool 3 due to the aforementioned factors.
