Henry Cavill's Sherlock Holmes has curmudgeonly agreed to attend sister Enola Holmes' wedding in the new trailer for Enola Holmes 3, and longtime fans of the franchise already know that such a simple family occasion was never going to stay simple for long. Netflix recently unveiled a fresh look at the upcoming film, which arrives on July 1, 2026, bringing back Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, and Louis Partridge for another mystery soaked in adventure, wit, and sibling chaos. The newly released trailer teases romance, danger, and a case that appears far more personal than anything Enola has faced before.

For those who have followed Enola since she first cycled through the English countryside searching for clues and dodging her overprotective brothers, the footage feels like the next natural chapter. Yet, like every great Holmes mystery, the trailer seems determined to hide its biggest secrets in plain sight.

One of the trailer's funniest moments arrives when Lady Tewkesbury asks Enola whether there will at least be an uncle available to walk her down the aisle. The scene immediately cuts to Enola showing Sherlock her engagement ring, whose face falls comically quickly, although he does not forget to congratulate her. Enola casually informs everyone that Sherlock himself will be walking her down the aisle, but reluctantly so.

"He will do so curmudgeonly and he will lack elegance and a sense of life behind his eyes, but he is all i have, so it will be great," she says as fast and merrily as she can in the hilarious video.

The trailer shows Henry Cavill's detective reacting with a look that lands somewhere between shock and disappointment before offering congratulations. That exchange perfectly captures what has made the franchise so charming. Sherlock may be the world's greatest detective, but around Enola he often becomes an exasperated older brother trying unsuccessfully to hide his affection.

How Old Was Millie Bobby Brown in Every 'Enola Holmes', A Look at The Netflix Actor's Transformation

Like Enola Holmes herself, Millie Bobby Brown has never been afraid to challenge expectations. Whether she is confronting criminals on screen or public criticism off it, she tends to meet both with the same determination.

Millie Bobby Brown fires back at critics

Away from Baker Street and wedding preparations, Millie Bobby Brown recently found herself responding to online criticism aimed at her husband, Jake Bongiovi. The backlash emerged after paparazzi photographs showed the actress pushing a stroller and handling luggage while traveling. Speaking on Kylie Kelce's Not Gonna Lie podcast, Brown pushed back firmly against what she described as a double standard.

"People are like, 'Your husband doesn’t hold a single thing.' Because I’m three miles ahead. I have been planning this all night,” she said.

Her comments echoed a quality that Enola Holmes fans know well. Much like Enola refuses to wait for someone else to solve the mystery, Brown has consistently rejected narratives that portray women as helpless. Whether she is racing through Victorian London or addressing social media criticism in 2026, the message remains remarkably similar: independence and partnership can coexist.

With Enola Holmes 3 mere days away, audiences will soon discover whether Sherlock survives his latest predicament and whether Enola actually makes it to the altar. One thing seems certain: the Holmes family remains as entertainingly dysfunctional as ever.
