‘Good Omens’ Season 3 Cast: Returning Angels, Demons and New Faces Joining the Finale
Good Omens is preparing for its final chapter this May, and while the upcoming finale will reportedly look very different structurally from earlier seasons, one thing remains unchanged — the series is bringing back many of its most important celestial players for one last adventure.
The final installment is scheduled to release on May 13, 2026, airing on Prime Video for the US and International audiences and on BBC in the UK. Instead of a full-length season, however, the story will reportedly conclude through a single 90-minute finale episode designed to wrap up the emotional and cosmic fallout left behind by Season 2.
That means the returning cast now carries even greater importance, especially after the dramatic separation between Crowley and Aziraphale completely reshaped the emotional direction of the series.

And thankfully for longtime fans, the core duo remains firmly at the center of the finale.
Good Omens Season 3 brings back David Tennant and Michael Sheen for one final chapter
David Tennant and Michael Sheen are both officially returning as Crowley and Aziraphale, continuing one of fantasy television’s most beloved on-screen partnerships. After the emotional Season 2 finale changed the relationship between the demon and angel forever, the upcoming finale is expected to focus heavily on the fallout from their separation.
Several major celestial figures from earlier seasons are also expected to return. Jon Hamm would reprise his role as Gabriel following the character’s major Season 2 storyline, while Doon Mackichan is also expected back as the intimidating Archangel Michael. Meanwhile, Gloria Obianyo will reportedly continue as Uriel as Heaven prepares for another possible apocalyptic conflict.
The series may also continue involving familiar Earth-side characters including Nina Sosanya’s Nina, while Miranda Richardson could potentially return again following her multiple roles across previous seasons.
But while the returning cast brings familiarity, the creative team behind the finale is also undergoing notable changes.
Rachel Talalay and the finale’s creative changes could shape the series ending
Unlike earlier seasons, the final Good Omens chapter will reportedly be directed by Rachel Talalay, while longtime series director Douglas Mackinnon is not attached to the 2026 finale episode. That creative shift alone could give the final chapter a noticeably different tone and visual style.
Behind the scenes, Neil Gaiman still remains involved creatively through writing and story contributions alongside material based on the work of the late Terry Pratchett. Writers including John Finnemore, Peter Atkins, and Michael Marshall Smith are also connected to the project’s expanded creative team.

The finale’s shorter runtime also means every returning character may play a much more concentrated role compared to previous seasons. Rather than sprawling side adventures, the final chapter appears increasingly focused on emotional closure, celestial conflict, and finally resolving the relationship between Crowley and Aziraphale.
And with Heaven reportedly preparing “Operation Second Coming,” the final battle between angels, demons, and destiny itself may end up bringing together more familiar faces than fans initially expected.
