Saoirse Ronan is not making a fuss about her husband Jack Lowden’s rumored James Bond shortlist. It would be a matter of both pride and immense joy if someone closely related to a person were being considered for a possible stint as the next 007. Even more so if the said person happened to be maritally bound to them. It would have been simply sublime to be the partner of a potential James Bond actor. However, it does not seem to be the case for Saoirse Ronan.
Saoirse Ronan just sidesteps rumors about her husband, Jack Lowden, stepping into 007's shoes like it is no big deal.

During a recent interview with the Associated Press, Oscar-nominated star Saoirse Ronan shared that the persistent speculation linking her husband, Jack Lowden, to the iconic role of James Bond is entirely kept off-limits at home. Discussing their life away from the spotlight, the actress explained that mundane household chores and parenting priorities naturally take precedence over industry chatter.
“We’re kind of getting on with our life, to be honest. We have plenty of other things to be dealing with. So, yeah, it’s not really a subject that’s coming up in our house, to be honest,” said Ronan.
Ronan and Lowden tied the knot in 2024 after beginning their relationship in 2018, and recently welcomed their first child together in September 2025. Addressing the widespread fan theories and a famous endorsement for Lowden’s cause for the next 007, the acclaimed Irish actress emphasized:

Discussing her husband's current professional commitments with the Associated Press, Ronan noted that he is currently busy filming Slow Horses, adding that he is "currently having a good time on that." The acclaimed espionage thriller series is currently airing its sixth season on Apple TV+.
Jack Lowden has gone through a plethora of contenders to be in the final list of favorites for the acclaimed role.
Jack Lowden’s way to the final discussion
The Slow Horses star has risen as a leading contender to inherit the legendary secret agent role, especially following comments from television personality Richard Osman in August indicating that Jack Lowden is a serious frontrunner for the part. Daniel Craig officially hung up his tuxedo following his five-film tenure with the 2021 blockbuster No Time to Die, leaving media outlets to fiercely debate and speculate over who will step into the iconic mantle next.
