Duchess Meghan Markle and co-star Abigail Sepncer met a long before tthe royal wedding and have been going strong forever since

From Birthday Twins to BFFs at ‘Suits’, Here’s a Timeline of Abigail Spencer and Her Close Bond With the Duchess Meghan Markle

The controversial tales of Meghan Markle
[https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/meghan-markle] and the royal family did cost the
Duchess a good deal of close friendships. The recent fallouts put a deeper dent
in her ranks among the Hollywood bigwigs. However, those who had to stick to the
Duchess through thick and thin still have her back. The US Network TV show,
currently a Netflix favorite, Suits, has undoubtedly formed a significant part
of Markle’s life. Not only did she flourish professionally, but also gained a
gem of a friend from the sets who supported her at every turn of life. Abigail
Spencer, a name that tops the list of the closest associates of Meghan Markle,
shares an uncanny connection with the Duchess.

As surprising as it is, the co-worker turned best friends, share the same birth
date along with the same calendar year. Thus, along with Markle, Spencer also
turned 42 the previous day, with their fans pouring their wishes from all
corners of the world. Nonetheless, their friendship runs deeper than just shared
birthday parties.

MEGHAN MARKLE AND ABIGAIL SPENCER ARE FRIENDS BEFORE MARKLE BECAME A ROYAL

The California talent and Spencer date back to the early two thousand as both
budding stars were trying to get their big shot at Hollywood. As Spencer once
revealed to ET, the two met at the auditions for Suits, quite a decade before
Markle tied the knot with Prince Harry. Crossing paths with Markle for the first
time, Spencer said, “She was just so stunning and there was just something about
her, and that’s how we met.“

The Florida native played the part of Dana Scott, famously called Scottie
throughout the series. As the two bonded over the series, Spencer also started
being a part of Markle’s life when the cameras were not rolling. Reports, in
fact, have it that Scottie also had a significant contribution to Markle’s
now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig, which recently became a breeding ground for
a slew of controversies.

SPENCER WAS A TREMENDOUS SUPPORTER OF THE SUSSEX WEDDING

Being Markle’s best pal, Spencer witnessed the blooming relationship between the
American actress and the military Prince right from its roots. As the star had
once revealed herself, she could hardly contain her joy, since she knew what the
couple shared was different. Despite the odds that stood against the
extraordinary relationship, Spencer said, “It was very clear… that they were
going to go to the ends of the earth to be together.”

Thus, as inevitable as it was, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/tag/prince-harry/] tied the knot at a glamorous
royal spectacle at St. George’s Chapel. Undoubtedly so, she was one of the
happiest guests among the newly minted Duchess’ other close friends. Making her
way to the venue, the star was spotted alongside Markle’s other all-time
supporter, Priyanka Chopra,

in all glee.

AUNT SPENCER HAD ALL THE LOVE POURING FOR PRINCE ARCHIE FROM BEFORE THE TIME HE
WAS BORN

Royal life at the House of Windsor did not exactly turn out to be too precious
for the Duchess. Except for the times she welcomed her two bundles of joy,
Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Although situations were drastically
different during Lili’s birth, Markle’s firstborn has many potential godmothers
who had his mother’s back at all times.

Just a few months before Prince Archie’s birth, Markle and her best friend were
spotted in New York in the year 2019, enjoying their short trip to the fullest.
The two pals were captured in all smiles outside shopping enclaves and on lunch
together. Weeks before the delivery, Aunt Spencer served as a special guest at
Markle’s first-ever baby shower.

Later, in the year 2020, amidst the rumors or the thunderous fallout, Abigail
Spencer also joined the couple on their much-talked-about Canada trip. The group
had a great time out with their closely-knit bunch of friends and family on the
serene, idyllic hikes on Canada’s Victoria Island.

Nonetheless, as the Duchess turned into a mom, life at the royal premises, along
with the struggles of young parents, took a toll on the Duchess. Thus, frequent
association with friends from Hollywood became a luxury for both the royal and
her friends. However, when things went completely south, they met again.

ABIGAIL SPENCER WAS A PROMINENT SPEAKER IN THE HARRY & MEGHAN NETFLIX BOMBSHELL

The infamous Megxit soon gave rise to a fresh wave of controversies for the
Sussexes. Oprah Winfrey’s CBS special that witnessed the estranged couple open
up about their struggles at Buckingham further aggravated the scenario. Lastly,
the remnant of the ties was set ablaze the moment Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
dropped a nuke on the House of Windsor through their thrilling
six-part-docuseries.

Along with prominent Sussex supporters like Tyler Perry, Serena Williams,
Abigail Spencer, too, was a significant stakeholder in bringing the truth before
the public. Speaking of the times Markle and Prince Harry went along with their
royal duties, the actress said, “The work that they were doing…” seemed to be
amazing, said Spencer. Quite baffled about where all hell broke loose, she
added, “They were building her up, and then there was a shift and they started
to tear her down”.

Referring to the entire narrative around the separation, Spencer termed it as
one of the darkest times of Markle’s life. Nonetheless, there was not a time
when she was not at the Duchess’ beck and call. Speaking of their long-standing
bond, she gushed about how they share a lot of similarities. She thus considers
the Duchess “a trusted friend” and one of the most glorious people she has ever
met.
