With nowhere else to go, she stumbles upon a lavish birthday party and, rather than keeping her head down, does what she does best—she slips into someone else's world as if she belongs there.

Posing as a nanny accompanying one of the invited families, Lucky walks into the party without raising a single eyebrow. After more than 24 hours on the run, covered in blood, dirt and exhaustion, she quietly heads upstairs in search of a fresh set of clothes. A wardrobe filled with expensive designer outfits becomes the perfect opportunity for a fresh start, but just as she's changing, another guest is found to be inside the bathroom already. Her next stop takes her back to the home of the man Dutch executed earlier that morning. The house is in complete disarray, almost as if someone had torn the place apart looking for something. Just as she's about to leave empty-handed, Lucky notices another hidden entrance concealed behind a thick wall of flowers. Curious, she steps inside and discovers what the tortured man had desperately tried to deny—a secret operation dedicated to creating entirely new identities for people looking to disappear.

Thinking quickly once again, Lucky decides to play along. Pretending to be another client looking for a fresh identity, she calmly answers questions about why she wants to start over while the technician begins walking her through the process. Yet beneath her composed exterior, the memories she's desperately trying to suppress refuse to stay buried. As the camera flash repeatedly captures her photograph for the new identity, Episode 3 delivers another beautifully edited montage, seamlessly intercutting every flash of the camera with memories of Cary. Calling her once again, he makes it abundantly clear that sentiment has no place in this business and there is a strict zero-tolerance policy. If she's still prioritizing finding her son over recovering the stolen fortune, she's already making the wrong decision. His warning carries an even darker implication—there is only one way this ends for Cary. With Cary's new identity now in his possession as well, the race officially begins. Lucky, the FBI, Mother Masterson and Whittaker are all moving toward the same man, but only one of them is about to reach him first, Lucky.

Lucky agrees, though there's a noticeable hesitation in her voice. The following morning, Lucky finally arrives at Cary's secluded beach house. As he heads out for a swim completely unaware of her presence, she quietly slips inside and immediately begins tearing through every room in search of the missing fortune. Unlike her earlier operations, this isn't a careful infiltration. Cabinets are emptied, expensive liquor bottles are knocked aside and furniture is left in complete disarray as desperation begins replacing patience. After searching every corner of the house, Lucky finally discovers what she's been looking for. Hidden inside a laundry basket is the missing cash, along with a gun and a laptop protected by a twelve-word password. For the first time since the series began, it feels as though she's finally regained control of the situation.

That feeling lasts only a few seconds. Cary returns from his swim completely unaware that everything has changed. As he steps inside, the sight of his ransacked home stops him in his tracks. Sitting calmly at the dining table is Lucky, the stolen fortune beside her, a gun within arm's reach and the laptop lying open between them. Neither of them says a word. After three episodes of lies, betrayal and relentless pursuit, the hunter and the hunted finally stand face to face—but the bigger question isn't whether Lucky found Cary.
