As Henry Cavill gears up to appear in the remake of Highlander, its director reveals one aspect that it will share with its predecessor.

Amidst Henry Cavill Hype, ‘Highlander’ Is Set to Rope in One of the Biggest Sensations of the 70s

A mesmerizing blend of history and fantasy, Highlander was carved out of the
same stuff Henry Cavill [https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/henry-cavill/] finds so
irresistible. When talks of rebooting the 1986 mythical masterpiece surfaced,
the British actor’s fans knew that he would be the perfect for it. Thankfully,
these wishes fell on the right ears. Now, as the movie gears towards a start,
its director, Chad Stahelski, has kicked off the process of conceptualizing it.
And it seems like he may just have found another thing that fits into the reboot
as well as Cavill.

Not only with Cavill, but the upcoming flick will have something in common with
the TV series as well.

CHAD STAHELSKI DROPS AN EXHILARATING UPDATE

It was recently reported that the makers of the Highlander reboot had set the
wheels in motion
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/hollywood-news-with-henry-cavill-at-the-helm-highlander-reboot-gears-up-for-production/].
Now, it seems like the team has even jumped on to the musical aspect of the
flick. Now, in a recent interview with The Wrap, Chad Stahelski
[https://www.thewrap.com/highlander-remake-use-queen-songs-chad-stahelski/]
revealed that the movie will feature tracks from the 70’s most iconic band:
Queen! Additionally, he remarked that it would be done “in a different” yet
“hardcore” way.

For the original movie, the band had exclusively produced an album in 1986.
Among the tracks was ‘A Kind of Magic’ which became the theme song for that
flick. Another song which was titled ‘Theme from New York, New York’ was also
created for the show by the band but was never released. So, it is possible that
the remake could include this track.

Besides the music, the reboot will also share similarities to the original in
another way.

HOW WILL THE HENRY CAVILL VERSION OF HIGHLANDER RETAIN THE ORIGINAL THEMES?

When Highlander first emerged in 1986, it was deemed a cinematic gem. During
another recent interview, Chad Stahelski delved
[https://www.netflixjunkie.com/hollywood-news-henry-cavills-highlander-reboot-will-be-a-fervent-tribute-to-the-immortal-legacy-of-the-original-highlander-reveals-director/]
into how his creative blueprint for the Highlander reboot will retain those
themes. He shared his deep affection for the original flick and how he planned
on incorporating the elements that made the original film a standout.
Particularly, the intricate “ancillary stuff” that the movie was known for.

By weaving together its themes of immortality, duels, and epic battles
beautifully, the original Highlander movie’s makers created an iconic piece of
cinematography. Considering the jubilation that the news of the remake was met
with, it is evident that the allure of the unending quest for power and
immortality has endured the decades. If Stahelski manages to reflect the same
through The Witcher [https://netflixjunkie.com/tag/the-witcher/] actor, the
movie is sure to be a hit.
